Non tutti sanno che a Milano c’è un monumento dedicato a Pinocchio. L’opera che è una fontana realizzata dall’artista Attilio Fagioli, si trova in Corso Indipendenza, all’interno di quello che una volta era un grazioso parco giochi ma che oggi è soltanto uno dei tanti luoghi 'lasciati andare' di Milano. Inaugurata il 19 maggio 1956, rappresenta Pinocchio trasformato in bambino, che capeggia in alto alla struttura e ai piedi c’è il corpo inanimato del burattino che era mentre ai lati si trovano il gatto e la volpe. Al centro troneggia una frase del poeta Antonio Negri: 'Com’era buffo quando ero un burattino – e tu che mi guardi sei ben sicuro d’aver domato il burattino che vive in te'.

Did you know that in Milan there is a monument dedicated to Pinocchio. The work which is a fountain designed by the artist Attilio beans, located in Corso Indipendenza, inside what was once a lovely playground but that today is only one of many places"let go" of Milan. Inaugurated on May 19, 1956, represents Pinocchio transformed into a kid, heading at the top of the foot structure there is the inanimate body of the puppet that was while the sides are il gatto e la volpe. At the Center stands a phrase of the poet Antonio Negri:"it was funny when I was a puppet-and you look at me you are well assured of having tamed the puppet who lives in you".
