Dal 18 aprile 2010 al 31 gennaio 2011, presso il Giardino Bardini di Firenze, sono in mostra i grandi legni"non finiti" del celebre scultore toscano Giuseppe Gavazzi.
Il percorso espositivo è incentrato su due grandi temi: La Grande Madre e La Musica. Presenta opere in legno, bronzo, terracotta policroma e stucco forte, collocate lungo il percorso del giardino di Villa Bardini con il quale si integrano alla perfezione.
La Grande Madre riunisce opere con dentro la profondità della cultura arcaica e il fascino seducente della maternità, potente forza generativa che tutto accoglie, senza 'temporalità', ma con il mistero del simbolo arcaico di donna e madre. Severe figure femminili né giovani, né vecchie, che non parlano ai figli né li guardano, ma fissano lo sguardo nella lontananza. Chi sono queste donne? Di quale tempo? Come chiamarle? Non c’è risposta. Il fascino di queste figure consiste nella loro enigmaticità. Madri senza tempo e senza nome.

From April 18, 2010 to January 31, 2011, at il Giardino Bardini in Florence, are showing great"unfinished" Woods of the famous Tuscan sculptor Giuseppe Gavazzi.
The exhibition focuses on two major themes: the great mother and music. Presents works in wood, bronze, Terra cotta and polychrome stucco strong, placed along the route of the garden of Villa Bardini which integrate perfectly.
The great mother brings together works with in the depth of the archaic culture and the seductive charm of motherhood, powerful generative force which welcomes all without"temporalities", but with the mystery of the archaic symbol of woman and mother. Strict female figures nor young, nor old, children who do not speak or look at them, but fasten their gaze in the distance. Who are these women? What time? How to call them? There is no answer. The charm of these figures is their mystery. Timeless mothers and unnamed.
