Chissà se in quegli anni di viaggi e curiosità dopo aver abbandonato gli studi, avrebbe potuto immaginare che 40 anni dopo a Firenze sarebbe tornato con una mostra dei suoi acquarelli al Museo Marino Marini o che nel 2005, la più grande mostra a lui dedicata sarà ancora a Firenze, al Forte Belvedere.
