Translation
www.adambeeldenva1900.blogspot.nl:
In front of the station Amsterdam RAI is a colored totem pole. At least since it seems on. However, it is a Swiss Watch, offered in 1981 by the Executive Board of the RAI. This three-dimensional Column clock of the Swiss artist Kurt Ingendahl is to read from all directions. The column is divided into six equal segments and as with an ordinary clock there are one large and one small pointer. At a glance to see if a pointer is itself upwards moves (from 6 to 12) or down (from 12 to 6). The pointers are hook shaped constructed and run at 12 or 6 landed them a half battle of. At least that they would have to do. To my knowledge are the hooks for years still. But heck, if that is so bad I don't know. No man understand something here, but the column is definitely decorative.

the work of art is a timepiece that helaars no longer functions.
directly on our left hand we see a totem pole-like plastic that depicts the time in three dimensions (Carel Visser, 1967). It is a lighted pylon of colored steel.
it houses in reality a timepiece (Kurt Ingendahl) in a Special Edition. Amsterdam RAI Amsterdam Schiphol was the second station that Covenant.
pursuant to the desire of the RAI Board became the RAI-complex connected to the Schiphol line, after the line was extended in 1981 to Leiden. This unlocking ran ahead of the construction of the final branch of the ring railway around Amsterdam completed in 1992. The drive got a temporary character for that reason: it was largely in steel so it is easy to disassemble was and had a large residual value. Nevertheless, it is a pure example of an all-under-one-roof station become. The RAI donated a remarkable ' time pointer ' of the artist Kurt Ingendahl.
