Delhi-based artist-sculptor Satish Gupta’s four-metre high Surya sculpture, made in copper with gold-plated parts, will greet passengers at the pier of the international departure area.
The sculpture depicts Surya, and symbolises the strength and power of India.
'I thought this would be the most appropriate work for this space as it is confluence of people from different backgrounds,' says Gupta, who began working on the installation a year ago.
